Chris Appleton, known as Kim Kardashian‘s hairstylist, has filed for divorce from Lukas Gage.
The couple’s couple’s wedding episode just aired on “The Kardashians” last week.
Back in April, TMZ reported that 40-year-old Appleton and 28-year-old Gage got hitched with the help of Kim and Shania Twain in a Vegas ceremony at the Little White Chapel.
But now, just six months later, Chris filed papers, citing Friday as their date of separation and stating “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
“Chris and Lukas haven’t been getting along recently and things haven’t been great between them,” a source told ET of the split. “It got worse and they decided it was best to end their relationship.”
The divorce documents reveal the existence of a prenuptial agreement.
Sources close to the couple say that Chris struggled with the decision to end the marriage and made every effort to salvage it. Ultimately, he chose to prioritize his well-being in moving forward.
Earlier this year, the two revealed their relationship while on a trip to Mexico, which lead to a quick engagement. During a interview with the Today show, Gage expressed how happy he was in his relationship with Appleton.
