The daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has officially become a member of the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
This week, Zahara Marley joined her sorority sisters at Spelman College in a video that has been shared countless times across social media. In the clip, which Essence even shared, Marley steps to the front and announces her name as the crowd cheers loudly for her. She then shakes her hair and adds, “Jolie!” as the cheering gets louder. In the caption, Essence praised the teen.
“Ivies Up! The first Black sorority just gained a very familiar face as a member! Congratulations to Zahara Marley Jolie, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who just joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College! We see you and can’t wait to see all you do in the name of sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind!” the outlet wrote.
Marley and her famous mother have been a fixture at the university since it was first announced that she would be attending the Atlanta, Georgia, HBCU. The 18-year-old joins a list of high-ranking women who joined the sorority, such as the late Dr. Maya Angelou, actress Phylicia Rashad, and even Vice President Kamala Harris.
Jolie nor Pitt have commented publicly on Marley’s new journey, but the parents are surely proud of their daughter.
