Cardi B says she will not be endorsing any more politicians after the recent budget cuts in New York City.
The “Bodak Yellow” star went live to call out the controversial plan proposed by Mayor Eric Adams. The move will limit public schools, libraries, cultural centers, sanitation, and more funding. The local government has claimed the cuts are being implemented to accommodate the influx of immigrants, which Cardi calls cap. According to the rapper, President Joe Bidden is failing to intervene and is instead pumping money into funding war. Biden recently pledged billions of dollars for the Ukrainian defense against Russia’s invasion and Israel’s conflict with Hamas.
“No, we cannot fund these f**king wars. We can’t. Keep it a bean. We can’t. Ya’ll doing budget cuts on the biggest city in the United States,” Belcalis shouted before adding, “This s**t is getting out of hand. They don’t wanna say the word, but we’re really going through a recession right now.”
If you recall, Cardi sat down for an interview with Biden in 2020 to discuss everything from police brutality to COVID-19. She’d previously expressed support for him and several other politicians, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. During the live, Cardi urged her fans to pay attention to what’s going on across the globe instead of the latest timeline tea.
“The internet right now is too dark because celebrity drama, of course, we love it, we infused with it, we watch it, but it’s like, ya’ll that’s little of what’s really going on in the world right now. That’s nothing compared to what’s going on in the world right now. The world is in f**king shambles.”
