Prosecutors played another clip that they argue contains the audio of two gunshots, although there is no available video footage of the alleged shooting. Police body camera footage was displayed in court as well, revealing the arrival of at least seven officers at the location of the alleged shooting. The officers conducted a thorough search for evidence but were unable to locate the weapon in question.
Relli previously claimed that he had ongoing conflicts with Rocky leading up to the alleged incident. He says that during a heated exchange, Rocky pointed a gun at his stomach. Although Rocky did not immediately fire the shots at Relli, he says that the shooting occurred shortly after they separated. According to Relli, Rocky fled the scene and left him on the street after firing approximately four shots.
Despite the absence of shell casings reported by law enforcement, Relli claims that he returned to the scene later that night and managed to recover a pair of 9mm shell casings. Rocky’s defense team questioned this claim, inquiring how he was able to find the casings when the police were unable to do so.
Nevertheless, a judge has determined that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial for Rocky. He will be facing two charges of first-degree assault with a firearm and is scheduled for arraignment on January 8th.
