In a recent lawsuit, a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal accuses Sean “Diddy” Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her in New York City over 30 years ago. Dickerson-Neal, who was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991, claims the assault happened after a date with Diddy. She alleges that they went out for chicken and waffles at a Harlem restaurant where she worked, followed by a visit to a recording studio. She suspects Diddy drugged her during the meal as she felt unable to stand afterwards.
The lawsuit states that Diddy took her to a house the same evening and sexually assaulted her while secretly recording the incident.
A spokesperson for Diddy tells TMZ : “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”
Furthermore, Dickerson-Neal claims that Diddy showed the recorded tape to many people, causing her significant distress. She states that this experience led to her dropping out of Syracuse University and being diagnosed with clinical depression.
Dickerson-Neal filed the suit under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which allows victims of sexual abuse to file civil lawsuits even after the statute of limitations has expired.
