The Monday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears was like most of the prime-time games this season. A dud, a boring game that had a few thrillers.
The Chicago Bears ugly victory was full of some excitement in the fourth after Justin Fields had two fumbles in the fourth quarter. The second fumble resulted in a Minnesota Vikings touchdown that gave them the lead.
A late throw to DJ Moore on third and ten to set up a Cairo Santos game-clinching field goal snapped a six-game losing streak against the Vikings.
Shannon Sharpe took to his show Nightcap and First Take this morning to give his opinion on the up-and-down play of Junin Fields. Fields finished with 217 passing yards and 59 rushing yards, two fumbles, and no touchdowns.
“I don’t think he will be in Chicago. The Carolina Panthers will have the number one pick, so the Chicago Bears will have the number one pick. Caleb Williams.”
There’s like 10-15 teams that need Justin Fields. Ay, I can get another first-round pick. The Bears got their pick. I’ll have three top 10, 15 picks, tell me I can’t build with that,” Sharpe told Johnson.
Intriguingly, Chicago has a few directions they can go in that could define the next two decades of this team that has failed to have consistent dominance in decades.
“I’m taking Caleb Williams if I get the number one overall pick,” Sharpe said on First Take this morning. Check out the clips below of Shannon explaining what he would do if he was in Chicago’s front office.”
