Thailand Groom Murders His New Wife, Her Mom, Sister & Guest During Their Wedding Reception

Multiple families are left devastated after a groom departed his wedding reception and returned with a gun, killing his new bride, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and wedding guest before turning the gun on himself.

The shocking tragedy, which occurred over the weekend in northeast Thailand, has garnered international attention. The groom has been identified as 29-year-old Chaturong Suksuk. He and his wife, 44-year-old Kanchana Pachunthuek, had celebrated a traditional wedding ceremony that started Saturday morning and ran into the night.

Witnesses say Suksuk appeared drunk and unhappy as the night progressed after an argument with Pachunthuek. At one point, he stormed out of the reception. When he returned from his vehicle, that is when the carnage began. It seems that he went after his bride first before targeting her mother, 62-year-old Kingthong Klajoho, and younger sister, 38-year-old Kornnipa Manato. Bystander and guest, 50-year-old guest Thong Nonkhunthod, didn’t appear to be an intended victim when they were struck. Sadly, Nonkhunthod died shortly after at a hospital.

Suksuk was an accomplished swimmer, who’d won a silver medal in 2022 at the 11th Asean Para Games in Indonesia, People confirmed. He was scheduled to participate in the World Abilitysport Games 2023 next month. Still, some wedding attendees claim Suksuk was unhappy about the 15-year age gap between him and his wife. They’d lived together for at least three years before walking down the aisle.

Authorities say Suksuk purchased his weapon legally and did not appear to have left a suicide note behind.
