Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is reportedly facing arrest over an alleged domestic violence incident involving his pregnant girlfriend.Â
The news was first reported by Rebecca Lopez of WFAA in Dallas, who revealed that Miller’s longtime girlfriend accused him of assaulting her in their home on Wednesday morning.Â
Police received a call about a “major disturbance” in the 3100 block of North Harwood in Dallas. Upon arrival, officers were informed of an argument between the couple that turned physical.
According to TMZ, Miller left the scene before officers arrived, and the alleged victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Although Miller has yet to be arrested, he is facing a charge of assaulting a pregnant person, which is a third-degree felony in Texas.Â
“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller,” the Bills said in a statement. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”Â
This is not the first time the all-pro linebacker has been the subject of legal investigations. Â
The Parker police department in Colorado also investigated Miller in a situation in 2021. Although he was not charged, it was later reported that the investigation was for domestic violence allegations from his ex-fiancee.
Miller has not been placed on the commissioner’s exempt list as of now. Typically, when players are in a domestic violence situation, they find themselves on this list until the investigation is resolved.Â
The Buffalo Bills are on a bye week. This is Miller’s second season with the team, but not his brightest moment. After losing a lead to the Eagles late in the fourth quarter this past Sunday, the Bills can’t afford to take too many more blows at the team if they expect to go far in the playoffs.Â
We will have updates as more information about Miller’s situation is released.Â
