Florida authorities have charged a Miami woman with attempted murder charge after she allegedly set her Tinder date on fire.
Destiny Lenai Johnson, 25, was arrested last month and charged with three felonies, including attempted murder, first-degree arson, and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, according to Miami-Dade County records.
She was arrested on Nov. 25 after she allegedly became irate with her Tinder date and set him and his car on fire outside a Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel in Kendall, Florida.
Authorities say the two arranged to meet up at the hotel, and that’s when she allegedly approached his car carrying what’s believed to have been a one-gallon jug of liquid. She asked the alleged victim for money to fix her car and then allegedly began yelling, “You guys are out to get me,” before pouring the gasoline into the passenger side of his SUV and lighting the inside of the car on fire with a lighter, the arrest report claims.
She reportedly fled the scene. The victim went inside the hotel for help and was transported to a nearby hospital. Johnson was reportedly found naked and talking about having blown up a car hours later, according to WSVN.
She was taken to a local hospital and treated for her burns.
She has since pled not guilty and was denied bond. She is currently still being held in custody at the Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

She sounds like a classic case of paranoid schizophrenia.
