YSL member and Young Thug co-defendant Shannon Stillwell has been stabbed inside the Fulton County Jail.
Stillwell was stabbed by an inmate inside the facility overnight, though it’s unclear what led to the altercation. His stabbing forced Monday’s trial session to be canceled. Court reporter Meghann Cuniff confirmed the postponement in a series of tweets. One of these included a video of Judge Ural Glanville telling the jury, “We had a medical issue come up with one of our participants. So we’re going to recess for the day.”

Stillwell is facing RICO charges, two murder counts, participation in a criminal street gang, and gun charges. Fulton County Sheriff’s Department officials have confirmed that Stillwell remains in the hospital. His condition is not immediately clear.
“I’m obviously very concerned about my client, and I’m gathering information at this time,” Stillwell’s attorney, Max Schardt, shared with CNN.
The stabbing comes amid mounting criticism of the Fulton County Jail and its safety. Last year, YFN Lucci, whom Thug has clashed with in the past, was also stabbed inside the jail by an inmate using a homemade shank. Several Atlanta criminal defense attorneys have compared it to Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp in Cuba. They have also used this as an argument to get clients released.
