The Pardison Fontaine press run for his new album, Sex Tape, has begun, and he is spilling tea about his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion.
The songwriter sat down with several outlets, such as The Breakfast Club, Angela Yee’s Lip Service, and See, The Thing Is podcast.
During all three, he was asked about his relationship with the Grammy award-winning rapper and his thoughts on her single, “Cobra.” In the song, she alluded to an ex cheating on her in a space they shared. Though, she didn’t say any names, Pardi admitted during his time on See The Thing Is that her lyrics hurt him.
“I was absolutely hurt because I knew you knew what it would do to me,” Pardi said of Meg choosing to release “Cobra,” which painted him out to be a cheater. While he did admit to cheating on Meg, Pardi said he didn’t cheat first. However, he did not elaborate on his ex’s infidelity.
Elsewhere on The Breakfast Club, Pardi said he assumed the infidelity tale in “Cobra” was about him and called Meg’s lyrics “a loose interpretation of events.” He also claimed that Meg never walked in on him receiving oral sex. However, Pardi said he would have never spoken out with his song, “Thee Person,” had Meg not released her transparent single first.
During his chat with Lip Service, which took place towards the start of his interview run, Pardi asked the hosts to define cheating before admitting that he was texting someone inappropriately and hiding the messages from Meg.
Now, all of this chat has forced his famous former boo to respond. On Wednesday, Meg went live on Instagram to call him out.
“If this man is saying, ‘I didn’t cheat on her. I didn’t do that,’ well, why the f**k is you responding to me? Do you know how many n****s ya’ll claim I done f***ed with? Why are you answering? Why are you trying to make that shoe fit? Was it you getting your d**k sucked in the same spot I was sleeping? If you say it wasn’t you, why the h*** is you dismissing me?” Meg shouted in frustration.
It’s unknown where else Pardi will end up, but as he continues to sit down with various outlets, some aren’t interested in what he has to say. Scottie Beam has shared that her The Scottie & Sylvia Show declined the opportunity to speak with Pardi.
This is clearly getting a bit messier than expected.
