Jonathan Majors and Marvel Studios have ended their collaboration following his recent conviction.
On Monday, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. In the verdict, Majors was acquitted of one charge of third-degree intentional assault and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment.
Shortly after the case concluded, Marvel terminated its association with the actor. This move marks the most significant professional repercussion Majors experienced thus far. Majors initially portrayed a version of the multiverse-traveling antagonist Kang in the 2021 Disney+ series “Loki.” This set the foundational narrative for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future, positioning Majors’ character as a central and pivotal figure in the unfolding story.
Majors was arrested on March 25, having alerted 911 upon discovering Jabbari unconscious in their New York apartment. Law enforcement reported finding injuries on Jabbari, including a bruised and fractured finger, as well as a cut behind an ear. Despite the charges, Majors entered a not guilty plea.
