Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson are slated to be the hosts for the 2023 Back That Year Up event, where they will dive into significant highlights from the past 365 days.
Collaborating seamlessly, Hart and Thompson will bring forth their unfiltered perspectives on pop culture, sports, social media, and politics, infused with humor, unmatched charm, and uproarious points of view. This one-hour special will showcase guest appearances by some of the year’s foremost celebrities, including Simone Biles, Kelly Clarkson, Jim Cramer, Ron Funches, David Alan Grier, Jay Pharoah, and many others.
“We are so excited to bring audiences another ‘Back That Year Up’ special as we celebrate all the ups, downs, and memorable moments of this past year. Hold onto your party hats, because this is going to be one for the books,” Hart said.

The 2023 Back That Year Up is set to premiere on Peacock on December 26th. Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart, who also serve as executive producers alongside Jeff Clanagan, Bryan Smiley, David Nickoll, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Kevin Healey, and co-executive producer Paul Harrison, will bring their creative vision to the project. The direction is in the capable hands of Leslie Small, with production handled by HARTBEAT.
