Zion Williamson has found himself in the headlines again for something outside of basketball.
This week, the South Carolina native took to Instagram to show off his new chest tattoo. The piece took more than three hours to complete, and by the time he was done, the finished product left a lot of fans confused.
Zion’s tattoo was off-center and far more to the left. Maybe it was like that on purpose.. but we don’t know.
He shared pics of his chest tattoo, with the lower part of his frame cropped out—a chest-up shot, you know. Shannon Sharpe and Gilbert Arenas, on the latest episode of the late-night show NightCap, weighed in on the tattoo and shared their thoughts on the ink’s placement.
“Maybe it’s supposed to be a little over the heart. Maybe that was the way it was designed,” Arenas tried to make up for some logic for the tattoo. I get the concept type, right? What was the gorilla’s name? Harambe?
“I thought that was you Unc,” Gil joked with Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe also has a chest tattoo that is actually centered. “You know damn well I don’t got no stomach like that,” Sharpe joked with Gil as he started laughing.
“The belly is what got me,” Arenas told Sharpe. “It reminded me of when Stephen A Smith said ‘he was at the free throw line and his belly gets the bouncing. As soon as I seen him without the shirt that’s all I thought about.”
The duo has had their moments of hilarity and has built some genuine chemistry over the last few weeks since Gilbert joined the show.
