Jonathan Majors has taken some major losses after his conviction. He has been stripped of the role of Dennis Rodman in a proposed film project.

The actor was cast to play the former Chicago Bulls player in a film that would chronicle his infamous trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA finals, CNN reported.

While Majors hasn’t officially been dropped, a source close to the file “48 Hours in Vegas” claims he will no longer be a part of the film.

Last month a jury found the actor guilty of assault and harassment against his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, following a domestic dispute. He was found guilty on one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree and a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation. He was acquitted on another assault charge and one count of aggravated harassment, the outlet reported.

Reportedly, Lionsgate – the studio where the Rodman film landed– has returned the project back to its producers to allow them to find a new partner to produce the film.

Additional sources told CNN that the producers are currently shopping the film around without Majors involvement, and said if the film goes back to Lionsgate, the first source firmly states that Majors “will be let go.”

“I cannot imagine a world where this moves forward with Jonathan,” one of the two additional individuals close to the project continued.

Lionsgate declined to comment. The talent agency WME — which currently still counts Majors as a client — also declined to comment.
