‘Basketball Wives LA’ Star Brittish Williams Misses Prison Check-In, Makes Last-Minute Plea for Sentence Reduction

“Basketball Wives” star Brittish Williams did not surrender to prison as scheduled on her designated date.

On January 3, just before her scheduled surrender, Williams asked the court to reduce her 4-year prison sentence to 2.6 years, as per RadarOnline.com.

Just last year, a federal judge approved Williams’ request to postpone her initial prison check-in scheduled for December 11.

It was previously reported that Williams was sentenced to four years in prison for tax, bank, and insurance fraud, along with a restitution order of $564,000.

After sentencing, Williams asserted that her celebrity status influenced the judge’s decision, prompting her to file an appeal against the imposed 4-year sentence.

Williams managed to postpone her prison check-in to January 3 so she could spend Christmas with her daughter. Subsequently, on January 2, she filed a motion seeking to reduce her 48-month sentence to 32 months, highlighting errors in the court’s calculation.

Shortly afterward, Williams sought a court extension, clarifying her inability to check in on January 3, 2024, at Alderson FPC and stating she was “unable to report as ordered.”

According to RadarOnline.com, Williams sought a court delay for her surrender date until a decision on her sentence reduction motion, proposing it could eliminate the requirement for transportation between the West Virginia prison and the Missouri court.

Unfortunately for her, the government objected to reducing her sentence, maintaining that the 4-year imprisonment was justified.
