Love is Blind alum Marshall Glaze is engaged!
He proposed to Chay Barnes during a surprise proposal days before Christmas.
The couple shared the news on Tuesday on Instagram, writing, “The journey to ‘Happily Ever After’ started on 12.23.23 ❤️💍.”
The post includes several photos of them celebrating special moments, with one picture capturing Barnes’ engagement ring.
Glaze told PEOPLE that he secretly gathered Barnes’ friends and family together at the proposal site, where he surprised his now fiancee and popped the question.
Glaze worked with Payal and Kajal Vitha of Sonu Company to create a design for Barnes’ diamond ring.
He also posted another video on Tuesday of the proposal, showing the romantic setup. Barnes arrived to a red carpet, vases of red roses, candles, and a sign lit up with the words “Marry Me,” and then Glaze got down on one knee.
Glaze — who split from his short-lived fiancée Jackie Bonds— first introduced Barnes on After the Altar in September 2023.
The two shared their first-anniversary milestone last July. “One year of laughing, crying, adjusting, communicating, healing…” they wrote. “Our journey to where we are today is a testament of resilience and unconditional love for one another. Cheers to Year One and cheers to many more.”
