Although 50 Cent has avoided criminal charges for striking a DJ with a microphone, he now faces a substantial lawsuit stemming from the incident.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Bryhana Monegain, a radio host at Power 106, is pursuing legal action against the rapper. The lawsuit stems from an incident during the 50 Cent Final Lap Tour set at Crypto.com Arena on August 3, 2023.
The lawsuit states that when 50 Cent noticed his malfunctioning microphone, he threw it into the crowd, resulting in Bryhana having severe and permanent injuries to her face and wrist.
TMZ had previously reported that she suffered a concussion and a forehead laceration, among other bumps and bruises.
Bryhana asserts that despite her return to work, she has continued to experience emotional distress since the incident.
She is filing a lawsuit to recover lost wages during her recovery, as well as seeking compensation for medical expenses and other damages.
