Kanye West claims he’s facing challenges booking venues due to his past antisemitic remarks, while also hinting at financial setbacks.
On Tuesday, Ye’ took to Instagram to discuss his recent struggles in a now-deleted video.
“I have not been allowed to perform in a year,” he wrote. “Feels like the Elvis Presley movie.”
“We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if it’s anyone that can help with this. It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year,” he said.
“And when I call, people say there are no avails for me and you know why that is,” he added, seemingly suggesting he’s been blackballed.
“So if there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please do,” he pleaded.
A few hours later, West appeared to confirm that he has finally been given approval by the venues to book their spaces after all.
“Crazy amount of no. stop calls from all over the world. Will send new offers and avails tomorrow,” read a screenshot he shared from his booking manager, while hinting that he’s looking to secure a venue in Australia.
Over on his Instagram Story, he shared additional screenshots of other venues reaching out to book him, including Petco Park in San Diego, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, multiple NYC venues, Galaxy Arena in Hong Kong, and venues in Brazil, China, and Egypt.
