Taco Bell is set to revive the Choco Taco, previously discontinued in 2022, by introducing its own version in collaboration with Salt & Straw this summer.
Its new Choco Taco waffle cone shells are filled with cinnamon ancho chile ice cream, dipped in chocolate, and topped with toasted brown rice, replacing the original’s peanuts.
Adding a twist to the nostalgic treat, Taco Bell’s new Choco Taco comes with custom sauce packets, mirroring their hot sauce options. Flavors like chocolate chili and mango jalapeño add a spicy kick, while cinnamon wild berry offers a milder option. The dessert also comes with a cheesecake dip.
Salt & Straw’s Instagram revealed that the Choco Taco desserts by Taco Bell and Salt & Straw will be offered nationwide at Salt & Straw’s scoop shops and for online shipping.
The release is expected in the summer, although a specific date has yet to be confirmed.
