Kai Cenat appeared on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson after playing in the Celebrity All-Star game coached by Sharpe last weekend. While Kai and Shannon’s team was victorious Friday night, the Twitch streamer rarely received any touches and was animated about it while the game went on. Chad was unaware of Cenat’s skills, so he decided to pull out a mixtape he had made when he was playing against some players that possibly matched his skill but not his size.
Chad was impressed that Kai seemed to be practicing before the game, while Shannon mentioned that Kai had his game face on. Sharpe asked to see some highlights of the ball going into the hoop, and the next clip showed Kai driving past two kids in jerseys. Shannon was not having it all.
“Kai you playing kids bro,” Sharpe said to Cenat as he tried to explain himself. “nah, nah, nah, no they, they almost 13.”
“Aint no way… that kid had on pampers,” Sharpe joked as Chad died laughing in the background. “But they hoop, nah they hoop bro!” Cenat responded.
Kai accused MVP of the game Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons of looking him off in the game in which he had 37 points. He blamed Sharpe for not setting him up in a better situation as his coach as well.
“It goes two ways, it go coach gotta get me in and teammates gotta pass the ball,” Cenat said. “During warmups we high fiving, I thought me and Parsons was on the same page. I get to Parsons in the game, he don’t know who I am. Before that, I’m like ‘Yo we finna go crazy, we gonna kill it,’ whole time the worst feeling is when somebody has the ball. He has the ball he looks me in my face, wide open, and shoot it. It ain’t even hit the rim!”
Sharpe was laughing, reflecting on the play himself. Here’s to next year, Kai!
