Floyd Mayweather Says He’s Not Going To Criticize Diddy’s Situation: “He’s Still A Black Man… Mistakes Happen” [Video]

Floyd Mayweather is facing some online backlash following his recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast.

After talking about his relationship with his grandson Kentrell Gaulden Jr. and NBA Young Boy, Mayweather went on to share his opinion on Diddy’s recent sexual assault allegations involving at least four different women.

“I’m not gonna speak bad about P. Diddy, ’cause he’s still a Black man,” Mayweather said.

“Mistakes happen.  And I can’t say if it is or if it’s not a mistake, but things happen in life.  And P. Diddy’s business is P. Diddy’s business.  It’s not my job or anyone else’s job to go on the internet and stomp him and kick a man when he’s down.  My take on it is it’s not my business.  I don’t think it’s right at all, and I don’t condone it.”

He added, “Even if that happened to my daughter, I would be hurt, but that’s the choice that my daughter made. So, I don’t wanna kick nobody while they’re down.”

Later, during the interview, Mayweather expressed sympathy for Diddy’s alleged victims, including Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.

However, Mayweather’s remarks received criticism on social media, with some pointing out his own history of domestic abuse accusations.

“Floyd Mayweather has a history of physically abusing women, so his response is not surprising at all.  Implying your daughter being abused as a “choice” she made is not only disgusting, it’s intentional,” one viewer tweeted.

Another user said sarcastically, “BREAKING: A guy who’s a perpetrator of several crimes won’t comment on another criminal. rEsPeCt.”

Previously, it was reported that Diddy was being sued by four women who claimed he used his influence and wealth to sexually victimize them.

In November 2023, Cassie and Diddy settled out of court for $30 million.
