In a sweet celebration of Leap Day, Krispy Kreme is treating donut enthusiasts to an irresistible deal.
On Monday, the company announced a new promotion, which will be available only on February 29th. On this once-every-four-years occasion, the renowned donut chain is offering a dozen original glazed donuts for just $2.29 with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen. This limited-time promotion is a delightful way for Krispy Kreme to honor customers on this rare day. Leap Day is a unique extra occurrence added to the calendar to account for the Earth’s orbit around the sun. This additional day brings the 2024 calendar year to 366 days instead of the usual 365.
“An extra day in the year is an irresistible opportunity for Krispy Kreme to be extra-sweet to our guests,” Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer, shared in a statement.
For Krispy Kreme customers born on February 29th, the chain will give out a complimentary dozen glazed donuts. This promotion is available only for customers who can provide proof of their birthday.
If the original glazed is not your thing, earlier this month, the chain announced the arrival of new menu items as part of its “Chocomania” collection, which features Hershey chocolate in each specialized donut. Those goodies are available at participating Krispy Kreme locations for a limited time as well.
