Gisele Bündchen Pauses Interview After Becoming Emotional About Tom Brady [Video]

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady may have finalized their divorce in October 2022, but the heartbreak surrounding their split is still fresh for the model. 

Bündchen recently sat down with Robin Roberts, where she broke down in tears while discussing her divorce after 13 years with the adored NFL quarterback. Bündchen referred to her highly publicized split as the “death of a dream.” However, the waterworks began when Roberts asked Bündchen how she was doing. 

“Sorry, guys. I don’t know. Can I have a little moment?” she asked as she turned her face away in front of the camera while her voice cracked.

At the time of their split, several reasons were rumored to have played a role. Some sources cited Brady’s refusal to retire from the NFL. However, Bündchen previously told Vanity Fair that his hectic football work schedule was just “one piece of a much bigger puzzle.” She would later add that they ultimately wanted different things out of life, though she continues to support her ex and has stated she wants him to be happy. 

Elsewhere in the interview, Roberts seemingly tried to quiz Bündchen about her rumored romance with Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. However, Bündchen refused to address it. The two have allegedly been dating since June 2023. Brady has also moved on, having been linked to several new women, though it seems that a rumored romance with model Irina Shayk is the relationship that has stuck.
