Lil Wayne and his former personal chef, who alleged the rapper wrongfully terminated her, have settled their lawsuit.

KTLA reports that the lawsuit was resolved as of Thursday, according to documents filed by Morghan Medlock’s attorney. The terms of the settlement was not disclosed, but it was reached two days before the relevant paperwork was filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Judge Kristin S. Escalante approved the terms of the settlement, marking the end of a lengthy and contentious legal dispute that commenced in December 2022. The dispute originated when Medlock initially alleged that Lil Wayne wrongfully dismissed her from her role as his part-time personal chef.

Medlock stated that the situation arose during a Memorial Day excursion to Las Vegas with Wayne, when she had to abruptly depart upon learning that her 10-year-old child had suffered a head injury, resulting in hospitalization. Despite all of them boarding Wayne’s private jet for the return to L.A., he purportedly caused significant delays to the flight by smoking on board, prompting her to opt for a different flight. Medlock expected Wayne’s team to comprehend the circumstances, particularly given her two-year tenure in the position. However, she claimed that instead of understanding, she was terminated.

According to the documents, Wayne’s team kept asking Medlock if she planned to resign after the incident. Despite her insistence that she wasn’t quitting, she faced hostility when trying to go back to work. Medlock claims her firing breaks California law, which forbids termination for taking care of a sick child. She sought $500,000 in damages.
