Kanye West Recalls Joking About Wanting A 3way With Nicki Minaj & Amber Rose, Safaree Confirms Story [Video]

Kanye West opened up about a very awkward question he once asked Safaree about his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj.

During an interview with Big Boy TV, Ye revealed that he once joked with the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star about wanting a threeway with then-girlfriend Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj, who was in a relationship with Safaree then. The “Power” rapper revealed that at the time he had no idea that Minaj and Safaree were actually dating.

Ye recalls them being in the studio as he was working on his MBDTF album, which features Nicki, and asking Safaree if he thought Nicki wanted to turn her raps into reality, alluding to her lyric, “I think me, you, and Am’ should ménage Friday.”

“I’m like ‘yo Safaree you think Nicki will let me and Amber hit like she said?'” Ye recounted before revealing that he asked the reality star if he could get Minaj’s phone number.

Shortly after the clip went viral, Safaree jumped into Akademiks’ comment section and confirmed the story, writing, “Yea, that happened,” with several laughing emojis.

Minaj is currently on tour, so it’s unknown if she has seen the heavily circulated clip yet. However, with a rumored feud between the two, West’s revelations may not sit well with Minaj. The two previously clashed over the unreleased West track “New Body,” which features a Minaj verse. She never cleared the track, which the Yeezy founder has called out several times. During a live stream in December 2023, Minaj responded to fans asking for the collab, declaring, “That train has left the station.” Rose has also remained quiet on Ye’s latest tale.
