Kendrick Lamar is making it known he wants no part of the “Big Three.”

For those who aren’t familiar with the reference, J. Cole referred to himself, Drake, and Lamar as the “Big Three” in “First Person Shooter.” Fast forward to Friday, when Future and Metro Boomin’ unveiled their joint album, “We Don’t Trust You.” Lamar is featured on the track “Like That.” In the album standout, Lamar raps, “Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD / Motherf*** the big three, n****, it’s just big me / N****, bum, what? I’m really like that / And your best work is a light pack / N****, Prince outlived Mike Jack / N**** bum, ‘fore all your dog’s gettin’ buried.”

It’s unclear when the tension between Lamar and his former buddies began. However, Drizzy and Cole have been friendly, even touring together for the past few months on the It’s All a Blur – Big As the What Tour. All three men have also collaborated on different records throughout the years. Both Lamar and Cole worked with Jeezy on his “American Dream” single, as well as “Black Friday.” Lamar and Drake also worked together on “Poetic Justice.” Many in the industry have regarded the trio as the best in the rap game, which is how the “Big Three” title came about.

Cole and Drake have yet to respond, though it’s only a matter of time.
