Candace Owens, the well-known Black far-right commentator, has parted ways with the conservative news outlet The Daily Wire.
Owens confirmed her departure on X this Friday, stating, “The rumors are true—I am finally free. There will be many announcements in the weeks to come.”
Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of The Daily Wire, initially announced the split on the same platform, saying, “Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship.”
The specifics of their separation remain undisclosed. Owens, one of the company’s most prominent figures, often appeared on Fox News and Infowars. She is currently on tour with Turning Point USA, a conservative organization that NBC News reports have gained significant traction within the Republican Party.
Owens’ representative is expected to reveal more about the separation later.
Ben Shapiro, founder of The Daily Wire, and Owens clashed recently over her controversial remarks on Israel’s actions in Gaza. Owens faced accusations of spreading antisemitism from her critics.
On November 13, Owens expressed on X, “No one can serve two masters,” concluding with, “You cannot serve both God and money.”
Shapiro directly addressed her comment, stating, “Candace, if you feel that taking money from The Daily Wire somehow interferes with your relationship with God, by all means, quit.”
