Hot Boys Rapper B.G. Faces Potential Jail Time Over Probation Violations

Rapper B.G. Has Been Released From Prison

Rapper B.G.

Just seven months after being released from a 12-year stint in prison, Hot Boys member B.G., born Christopher Dorsey, finds himself in legal hot water again.  The rapper was recently arrested in Las Vegas, where he’s been living, due to several probation violations linked to his three-year supervised release.

According to The Guardian, these violations stem from B.G.’s appearance at a concert in Las Vegas this February alongside fellow rapper Boosie.  The performance landed him in trouble for two main reasons.  Firstly, B.G. didn’t secure the written approval required for self-employment before the event.  Additionally, by sharing the stage with Boosie, who has previously been incarcerated on felony charges, B.G. breached a federal supervised release rule.  This rule explicitly forbids parolees from associating with convicted felons without a valid reason.

The situation was further complicated by B.G.’s collaboration with Gucci Mane on the album “Choppers & Bricks,” released in December 2023.  Given Gucci Mane’s history of federal convictions, this partnership also raised red flags with B.G.’s probation officer.

A warrant for Dorsey’s arrest was issued on March 21, leading to his apprehension in Las Vegas for these probation breaches.  He was quickly released on his own recognizance but is now ordered to face a federal court in New Orleans.  It’s there that a judge will decide whether these infractions warrant a revocation of his probation, which could potentially send B.G. back to prison, marking a significant setback in his post-incarceration journey.
