Ray Rice and his fiancé were originally scheduled for a Summer wedding but after their knock down drag out fight in an Atlantic City casino, the two pushed it up. Way up….. to this past Friday.
A day after getting indicted for the assault of his fiancé, Ray Rice and Janay Palmer tied the knot. Sources say they had the ceremony planned for a few weeks now. Some are saying the two had been watching too much Law & Order and thought that by getting married, they could hide behind spousal privilege and Janay wouldn’t have to testify. Only one problem, spousal privilege doesn’t apply in the state of New Jersey and even if it did since the incident happened in a casino, chances are that the only evidence needed will be the videotape of Rice knocking Palmer unconscious. Well, there goes that plan.
If convicted, Rice could face three to five years in prison.
