Jeezy has reportedly filed for primary custody of his daughter with Jeannie Mai, citing concerns over the current caregiving arrangements.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Jeezy is seeking a revision of the custody and parenting time agreement that was initially settled through mediation.
Jeezy claims that after their separation, where he moved to the basement of their family home, Jeannie moved out with their daughter, Monaco, and has since relied heavily on her brother and mother to care for the two-year-old. He alleges that Jeannie’s frequent travel schedule is not conducive to their daughter’s needs and that she has restricted his access to Monaco for almost two months.
He argues in the filing that his daughter would benefit from more stability under his care, proposing that he be granted primary physical custody.
This request comes after Jeannie defended herself against earlier accusations from Jeezy that she was preventing him from seeing their daughter. She countered by saying she had fulfilled all his visitation requests, including during the holidays, but had raised concerns about safety due to previously unsecured firearms in Jeezy’s home—a claim Jeezy denies, asserting that his firearms are securely stored and Monaco is never left unattended.
The custody battle is part of broader disputes between the two as they navigate their divorce, with Jeannie previously hinting at possible infidelity on Jeezy’s part during their marriage.
