Rapper Jeezy has clarified that he is not seeking full custody of his daughter with his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai.
In a new court filing, the “Soul Survivor” star said he would like a judge to enforce a joint parenting schedule allowing each parent to have equal time with their two-year-old daughter, Monaco. In a previous filing, Jeezy accused the media personality of trying to keep their child away from him. However, Mai has stated that Jeezy keeps weapons around, which is unsafe for their daughter.
In the latest documents, Jeezy confirmed that he and Mai once reached an agreement but claimed Mai did not keep her end of the bargain. This has led to him only seeing Monaco a handful of times this year. The Atlanta star argues he was able to get Monaco from March 3rd to March 9th, but when he tried to get her for another visit in April, Mai and the child were MIA. Surprisingly, Mai moved from the home she once shared with Jeezy, taking Monaco with her. This has made it difficult for Jeezy to keep up with his child, with Mai allegedly blocking him, making it harder for him to FaceTime Monaco. He says her recent actions violated their understanding and now needs a judge to put it in writing
He filed for divorce in September 2023, claiming the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Mai suggested that Jeezy was unfaithful in her response filing.
