Following the success of her Renaissance tour, fans are eagerly anticipating Beyoncé’s next live performance. As of recently, rumors have been circulating about the possibility of the Beyhive leader gracing the stage at the renowned country music festival, Stagecoach.
Fans have been sharing theories on TikTok about a potential surprise appearance by Beyoncé at the festival, slated to kick off this Friday. Announced back in September, the lineup features big names like Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Morgan Wallen as headliners. However, what caught the attention of the Beyhive was the presence of several collaborators from her “Cowboy Carter” project, including Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Willie Jones, Post Malone, and Willie Nelson.
Adding fuel to the fire is the festival’s announcement of Diplo, who has previously collaborated with Beyoncé, hosting the Honky Tonk stage. Last month, Diplo shared a photo of the DJ lineup, which included an artist named “Backwoods Barbie.”
Here’s where things get interesting, while other artists on the festival’s roster have photos and active social media accounts linked on the website, “Backwoods Barbie” remains a mystery. The page features a photo of a Barbie doll sporting a cowboy hat, and the linked Instagram account offers no clues about the actual artist, but has references to Beyoncé’s album, with one message reading, “Cowboy Carter on repeat.”
Additionally, during the second weekend of Coachella, a big semi-truck pulled up with “Cowboy Carter” plastered all over it. Naturally, fans started thinking Beyoncé might just pop out and surprise guests. But, leave it to Bey, we won’t know for sure until Saturday rolls around. Until then, all eyes are gonna be on Backwoods Barbie during their set.
