Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are once again at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure.
On Monday, People reported that Truist Bank stated it will begin “non-judicial foreclosure” proceedings in May. Back in October 2023, Zolciak and Biermann were scrambling to find a buyer before a foreclosure occurred. They were asking for $6 million, but the price has since been lowered. However, Truist is seemingly growing tired of the slow progress and is ready to reclaim ownership of the Georgia mansion. Though this is an unfortunate update, it is certainly not the first time the couple has faced foreclosure.
February 2023:
In February 2023, the couple’s mansion first went into foreclosure, with Truist threatening an auction for the following month. Despite the reports, Zolciak shot down the foreclosure reports. Thankfully, by February 22nd, 2023, the auction was canceled, with the couple allegedly making some type of arrangement with the bank. The couple filed for divorce in May 2023, with reports of their money woes again coming to light. They called off the split in July 2023, though drama surrounding their marital home, which they purchased in 2012.
July 2023:
Zolciak and Biermann defaulted on a Home Equity Line of Credit for their mansion. According to court documents, they owed Landmark Community Bank $217,443.32 after failing to make the designated monthly payments. The pair agreed to make their first monthly payment in February 2018 and conclude the loan in January 2038.
October 2023:
The couple attempted to sell the home before a foreclosure could take place. Zolciak and Biermann reduced the price to $5.5 million in mid-December before lowering it to $4.5 million.
April 2024:
Truist put the couple on notice, with May 2024 being the deadline for progress to be made in court before foreclosure begins.
