The last few weeks for the Colorado Buffaloes have been under fire after Xavier Smith left the team and had an interview with The Athletic where he spoke about his experience with Coach Prime and the team. Smith talked about Coach Prime discouraging him during the season, and it seems as if he believed the coach lacked empathy for players. The story created a lot of traction, and it got back to Quarterback Shedeur Sanders who shared an insensitive tweet.
Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best. https://t.co/qwK48Ys0Et

There is no problem with Sanders standing up for his father. However, you have to remember you are not your father; you do not have the same luxury as he and Stephen A Smith added to give some advice to the Sanders brothers. He supported the fellas by explaining that he will ALWAYS support any of his friends’ kids. However, he had to ensure Shedeur was aware of what could and couldn’t work until he put in the work.
“It is important you understand how you’re communicating and how you’re coming across your dad has earned it,” Smith said on the Stephen A Smith show. “They’re young Shedeur and Shilo, I get it. They are protective of their daddy, I get it. But somebody needs to tell them that moving forward, as you communicate in defense of your dad and what he’s doing. How you communicate and how you come across matters because you represent him. And you represent the program and more so to Shedeur you did this every time you won, but you lost more than you won,” Smith lifts his wrist to show how Shedeur would show off his Rolex after wins.
A level of respect needs to be shown, and honestly, many enemies will aim at Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes as they seem to create a new enemy weekly.
