Alleged Diddy Associate Will Avoid Jail Time in Drug Case, to Enter Diversion Program

Brendan Paul

Brendan Paul, who was recently accused of being a “drug mule” for Sean “Diddy” Combs, has struck a deal that keeps him out of jail. Paul faced arraignment in a Miami-Dade County courtroom on April 24 after being arrested at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on March 25, with cocaine and cannabis-infused candy allegedly in his possession. This arrest occurred on the same day Diddy’s LA and Miami homes were raided.

Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, confirmed that Brendan has accepted an offer from prosecutors to enter a diversion program. Upon successful completion of the program, the charges against him will be entirely dismissed.

A representative from the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office also verified this arrangement, explaining that it’s a standard offer extended to non-violent defendants with no prior offenses. Brendan’s case involved drug possession, rather than the more serious charge of trafficking, which made him eligible for this program.

Paul has already enrolled in the diversion program, which is expected to last about six months. During this period, the case remains pending, but if he completes the program without any issues, he will face no jail time or probation.

TMZ first reported that Brendan Paul was arrested at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on March 25. Authorities allegedly found cocaine and marijuana candy in his possession during a search. At the time of his arrest, Paul was working as Diddy’s main assistant.

Paul’s legal troubles are connected to a broader investigation involving Diddy, who has been under scrutiny for a sex-trafficking probe. Despite the serious nature of the investigation, Diddy has maintained his innocence. His attorney, Aaron Dyer, criticized the authorities for what he described as an excessive show of force during the raids on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
