It seems that iMessage went down for millions of users Thursday evening, sending iPhone users into a frenzy.
Around 5:00 P.M. EST, customers across several phone companies began reporting issues with iMessage. It appears that the main problem was with message sending. While some people reported having to resend multiple times for the texts to be delivered, others claimed even that did not work. Some users also reported that their iMessage text bubbles suddenly went green.
Apple’s System Outage page claimed that the issue was resolved. However, some took to social media to express that their Apple products were still not sending or receiving messages. This seemingly impacted their lives and even relationships. There were hilarious user concerns regarding whether or not they were blocked by people they’d been trying to contact. Others were happy they could miss work messages without retribution. Nevertheless, the app is slowly regaining service, and everything should soon be restored in the Apple universe.
