Amber Rose has fans scratching their heads after she surprisingly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 election.
The model shared a photo on Monday next to Trump and his wife, Melania. The trio was all smiles, with Rose captioning the “Trump 2024” image with multiple American flag emojis. She then shared another photo of Trumpio’s cereal on her Instagram Story. The move was extremely off-putting to her followers, who are familiar with the influencer’s women’s rights activism. She organized the famous Amber Rose Slut Walk, which took place for the first time in 2015. The event aimed to empower women and LGBTQ community members, pushing back against the harmful notion that seductive clothing is to blame for sexual assaults.
The event drew thousands of protesters, who praised her for using her platform for such a great cause. However, aligning herself with Trump, who has backed abortion bans and anti-LGBTQ legislation, seems to be a contradiction of her women empowerment movement. Furthermore, the former president has been accused of sexual assault and has made several misogynistic comments against women.
Rose has not yet addressed the backlash as her supporters call her out online.
