Nicki Minaj is planning to make it up to her fans in England after her recent arrest for drug possession in Amsterdam. The rapper assured her followers that she would reschedule her canceled concert and expressed her sincere apologies.
On Saturday night, Nicki shared a message on social media, explaining that she finally arrived at her Manchester hotel after spending about six hours in an Amsterdam jail.
The trouble started when military police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport arrested her for possession of “soft drugs.” Nicki live-streamed the incident, claiming the pre-rolled joints were her security guard’s, not hers. She vowed to provide “sooooooooo much video evidence” and said her “lawyers & God” would handle the situation.
Addressing her fans, Nicki wrote, “Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass.”
Nicki promised to announce a new date for the Manchester concert, likely in June or July. She also hinted at a special bonus for ticket holders of the canceled show but didn’t reveal what it would be. Additionally, she confirmed that she would perform at her scheduled Birmingham gig on Sunday.
Nicki was released from police custody after paying a fine of 350 Euros.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination.
