Miguel has been a prominent figure in R&B for almost a decade, but everyone has humble beginnings.
A 2005 video on X shows Miguel struggling during an audition for the group Fatty Koo on their reality TV series, revealing his early career challenges.
In the clip you can hear Miguel using his powerful vocals but the group members were unimpressed and even went so far as to saying, “What the hell is he doing?”
One female member’s comment criticized Miguel’s sound, saying it made her feel like “throwing up”, despite his talent.
It seems the group felt threatened by Miguel’s talents, but he ultimately triumphed, becoming a six-time Grammy award winner.
Now, many fans are rallying to his defense online.
