As the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar was coming to an end, the Toronto rapper waved his white flag and hinted at preparing to give us some “summer vibes.” Well, the wait for the “summer vibes” has seemed to diminish while Drake has decided to pivot and link up with Snowd4y to release a remix cover of the Plain White T’s song “Hey There Delilah.”
The collaborators put their own twist on the song and titled the track “Wah Gwan Delilah.”
Drake’s vocals being featured on the song doesn’t come as a surprise, as Snowd4y recently joined the Richdiet podcast and discussed the possibility of collaborating with Drizzy. He shared that he would down to link up with his fellow Toronto peer but joked that Drake would need to “come on it neatly.”
Shortly after the interview, Snowd4y added to the momentum by posting a video of himself sharing a snippet form Drake’s verse. The reveal seemed to stun some fans, while others claimed that the vocals were created by artificial intelligence, especially since Drizzy used A.I. to replicate the voices of Tupac and Snoop Dogg in a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar. However, those claims were quickly debunked as Drake’s official Instagram account confirmed that the song was real. See how social media users reacted to “Wah Gwan Delilah” below:
