Ice Spice was not here for a fan throwing shade at her album cover, prompting the rapper to throw an entire palm tree.
The Bronx rapper has been experiencing mixed reviews since unveiling her long-awaited debut album cover, “Y2K.” Many loved the look, though others had an issue with Ice featuring the title on a trash can, even teasing her that she was likely foreshadowing the project’s response. One Twitter user, photo editor, Zachary DeNobrega, took it upon himself to touch up the image by placing the “Y2K” up against the wall that Ice is leaning on. He reshared his version with the caption, “Made it better.”
The updated photo garnered over three million views and over 40,000 likes on the site. However, Ice was not impressed nor amused at DeNobrega slightly taking the joy out of her big moment. She retweeted a photoshoot that he did, which recreated Mariah Carey’s “Rainbow” album cover. Ice threw a dig of her own, writing “u thought u made this better too delulu.”

He fired back at Ice, claiming that his “Rainbow” flick “still came out cleaner than hers with THEE world’s greatest photographer and a TEAM of editors.”
Ice went on to explain that the “Y2K” was placed on the trash can on purpose during her shoot with the legendary David LaChapelle, clearly indicating that she is happy with the way her shoot came out.
