It seems Pharrell has taken shots at Drake in his new single “Double Life,” and social media believes the ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar sparked it.
Kendrick claimed to have inherited the feud from Pharrell, while Drake taunted the Compton rapper by telling him to retrieve Pharrell’s jewelry from his house.
Now, it seems Pharrell has responded.
The song in question is actually part of the Despicable Me 4 soundtrack. “Double Life” includes lyrics seemingly directed at Drake and his “double life”.
“Lie detector time,” Pharrell raps, questioning, “Hey, what are you hiding?”
“Nothing wrong being private… Just make sure it ain’t wrong,” he continued.
The speculation comes after Drake dissed Pharrell on Travis Scott’s 2023 hit “Meltdown.”
Pharrell, who hadn’t previously dissed the 6 God, may have continued the Drake hate train for 2024.
