Cardi B is standing by her actions after a video surfaced showing her cursing out the production staff during Friday’s performance.
During her BET Experience show, the “I Like It” star was clearly unhappy with how things were running. A video captured her stopping the music and calling out the production crew on stage.
“Y’all messing up my pyros. The fans is off. Y’all messing up my music. F**k am I paying y’all p***y n***as for? What am I paying y’all n***as for? Turn my f**king fans on b***h,” she snapped. Her outburst was met with cheers from the audience, though not everyone was amused.
When a blogger criticized her on Twitter for speaking to her staff in a demeaning manner, the Bronx MC defended her actions.
“When you do a show, you don’t pay after, you pay before. I paid $350,000 up front. The least they could do is get my pyro ready and turn the fans on because guess what? At the end of the day, that money is not returnable. Don’t half-ass my show because you’re comfortable when I definitely don’t half-ass when it comes to paying,” she fired back.
It’s unclear if the audience noticed the technical issues, but they clearly frustrated Cardi. This isn’t the only controversy from the concert. Many took to social media to speculate whether Cardi is expecting her third child after she performed in an oversized jersey.
