His Blue Lips Weekends tour in Canada faced an unexpected issue, sparking fan speculation about the real cause.
On X, Q proudly mentioned his sold-out shows in Toronto and Chicago but noted that his Toronto show had been unexpectedly canceled.
“They just canceled my show in Toronto 😂,” the 37-year-old tweeted, jokingly suggesting in all caps that “Canadian police don’t want nobody from TDE performing.”
He also hinted that it might be related to his appearance in the “Not Like Us” music video.
“Actually, I get it,” he wrote. “Nvm this is kinda hilarious … Iono why dot put me in that video.”
Fans are divided on the reason behind the cancellation.
Some think Drake, with his significant influence in Toronto, had something to do with it. Others believe it was simply due to the severe rainstorm that flooded the area, including Drake’s Toronto mansion.
Speculation grew when Drake posted a photo on his Instagram story wearing a shirt that said “Free Yayo,” believed to reference Yayo’s recent comment about Drake: “You can’t really give your opinion because n*ggas still wanna go to Canada. You don’t wanna say something about Drake and now you can’t go.”
Regardless of the reason, Schoolboy Q is taking it all in stride and having a laugh about the situation.
