The manager of rapper EST Gee was reportedly killed following his Saturday Summer Jam show in his hometown of Louisville.
Sunday morning, shortly before 1:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police officers responded to calls of a shooting in the 800 block of West Main Street. They located 31-year-old Devontae Beach suffering from several gunshot wounds. Sadly, Beach was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, the police have not publicly announced any suspects or a motive for the slaying.
Several blogs have identified Beach by his moniker EST Beach, a manager of the CMG signee. The rapper was in Louisville to perform his highly anticipated EST Gee & Friends concert. 42 Dugg and Yo Gotti were among the guests who joined the “Lick Back” rapper on stage. The concert served as Gee’s first in the city in four years. Last year, he called out Louisville PD for preventing his previous shows. Just one day before his Saturday show, the police force announced they would be increasing security for the event.
