Looks like influencer Mr. Hotspot has extended an olive branch to Lil Yachty regarding his “Supersoak” song.
If you recall, Lil Yachty recently sat down with the Flagrant podcast and revealed that he purposely leaked the track to Kai Cenat to play on his livestream because he ran into some sampling issues with Mr. Hotspot. The song featured a snippet from one of the influencer’s viral videos. However, according to Yachty, the record would not be released due to Mr. Hotspot’s religious reasoning.
As a result, Yachty received some backlash for disregarding Mr. Hotspot’s wishes. This, coupled with his remarks about New York fashion and Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar, led Yachty to announce that he was leaving the internet for a while.
But, on the bright side, Mr. Hotspot recently took to TikTok Live to share that he is working with Yachty to release the song and explained why he initially declined to be clear the sample.
“We recorded them a clean reference and we sent it into them so hopefully they rerecord the clean reference and we come out with the clean goodness gracious altogether,” he began. “So I said it’s a process but it’s it’ll be good for both of their brands like that and I’m blessed to work with children so we just gotta make it clean for them.”
He continued, “Like we don’t need no children getting whooped cause they said this or that you understand and if you look at the backside it’s the children who really running these views up so if we make sure both verses clean everybody coming clean everybody gonna benefit for sure its a process but we appreciate you being patient we sent it in today they got it today and now those boys about to turn up.”
Needless to say, fans are anticipating what’s in store on the full song. Do you think Yachty may have another hit on his hands?
Lil Yachty says he sent Kai Cenat his song "Super Soak" with Drake to leak on stream, after Mr Hotspot did not want to clear the sample because he's religious
"he went down like a Christian path… he was like 'No' it was crazy everyone was like are you serious?"
