T.I. found himself in an unexpected situation on Sunday night when he was mistakenly arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. TMZ reports authorities had a warrant for a man named Clifford Harris, which happens to be T.I.’s real name.
The mix-up began because the warrant, issued out of Baltimore County, Maryland, was for another Clifford Harris. This other man is wanted for violent behavior toward a woman, stalking, and possibly involving a gun.
Unfortunately, this led to T.I. being mistakenly taken into custody and even transported to Fulton County Jail.
However, T.I.’s attorney, Steve Sadow, quickly intervened. He got on the phone with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and managed to have T.I. released within two hours.
The complaint against the other Clifford Harris was filed on June 13 of this year.
