Barack Obama just dropped his 2024 summer playlist, and it’s got social media talking.
The former president has always had a solid playlist, and this year’s lineup shows he’s still got his ears to the streets.
This year, Obama’s got everything from Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” to Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” and Blackstreet ft Dr. Dre & Queen Pen “No Diggity.” He didn’t forget the heavy hitters either, with Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be,” and Saweetie’s “My Best,” H.E.R’s “Process” He also included Tems’ “Love Me Jeje,” Moneybagg Yo and Morgan Wallen’s “Whiskey Whiskey,” Tyla featuring Gunna “Jump.” He also didn’t forget Jill Scott’s “Golden,” 2Pac’s “How Do U Want It,” and Common’s “The People.”
Most people love the playlist, but some are wondering why Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss, “Not Like Us,” didn’t make the cut.
Even so, Obama’s playlist is proof that he’s still got great taste.
With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to! pic.twitter.com/aL400Ctpde
