Thanks to YouTube, there are countless educational programs out there to keep toddlers engaged.

The rise of educational YouTube shows offers accessibility for families who may not have cable television.  Additionally, many of these channels have grown popular because they offer age-appropriate content supporting early childhood development and preparing little ones for their school years.  One of the most popular is Ms. Rachel.

Professionally known as Rachel Griffin Accurso, this educator launched the Ms. Rachel YouTube channel in 2019.  Her purpose is to present fun learning videos for babies and toddlers.  She is known on the platform for creating her “Songs for Littles” on her channel, which delivers lessons through music.  This has become wildly popular amongst babies, with parents often sharing their kiddos enjoying Ms. Rachel’s melodies.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Ms. Rachel was collaborating with Elmo, a move hilariously likened to the toddler version of “Watch the Throne.”

If you and your tiny scholars have gone through the entire Ms. Rachel catalog, consider these other YouTube channels that blend learning with excitement.

Gracie’s Corner

Gracie’s Corner is a vibrant and engaging YouTube series that has quickly become a favorite among toddlers and parents alike. With its catchy songs, colorful animations, and positive messages, the show offers an educational experience that kids love. Each episode is designed to teach essential concepts like numbers, letters, and social skills, all while celebrating diversity and culture

Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes

Founded on YouTube in 2006, Cocomelon has transcended the app.  The vibrant series has also launched an original series on Netflix.  However, the channel is extremely active, with over 180 million subscribers.  Cocomelon uses nursery rhymes to teach toddlers about numbers, colors, animals, and numerous other age-appropriate concepts.

Baby Shark – Pinkfong Kids’ Songs & Stories

Known for the viral “Baby Shark” song, the channel was created in 2016 by Pinkfong.  After the popularity of this song, the channel uses Baby Shark and friends to teach kids about healthy meals, enhancing motor skills, friendship, counting, reading, and much more.  There are currently over 3,000 videos to choose from, meaning there’s no shortage of content for your children to enjoy.

Blippi – Educational Videos for Kids

Launched in 2014, youngsters have gravitated to Blippi, an exciting character that reels in kids through educational adventures.  Many videos show the lively host touring zoos, playgrounds, museums, and more, promoting art and exploration.

Mother Goose Club

The Mother Goose Club began on YouTube in 2007, though founders Harry and Sona Jho started the educational company in 2001.  The Mother Goose Club includes a curriculum that focuses on helping young children develop their reading skills.  This brand is unique because it has branched off into multiple channels, all of which focused on different aspects of learning.  Some of these include Mother Goose Club Lullaby, Mother Goose Club Toons, and MGC Playhouse.
